Cookies

This Cookie Policy explains how Urrum uses cookies and similar technologies on its website, including any pages, portals or digital content made available through www.urrum.com.

Cookies and similar technologies help us operate our website efficiently, maintain security, understand how visitors use our website, improve performance and user experience, and, where permitted, support analytics and communications activities.

This Cookie Policy should be read together with our Privacy Notice, which explains how Urrum processes personal information more generally.

References in this Cookie Policy to “Urrum”, “we”, “us” or “our” mean the Urrum entity responsible for the website.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the website to recognise your device and store certain information about your preferences, actions or browsing session.

Cookies may be set directly by Urrum or by third-party service providers whose services are used on the website.

In addition to cookies, we may use similar technologies such as:

• pixels;
• web beacons;
• tags;
• scripts;
• local storage technologies; and
• other tools that store or retrieve information from your browser or device.

For simplicity, this Cookie Policy refers to all such technologies collectively as “cookies”, unless the context requires otherwise.

Why we use cookies?

We use cookies for a number of legitimate website management and user experience purposes, including to:

• ensure the website functions properly;
• maintain security and protect against misuse or malicious activity;
• remember user settings or preferences where applicable;
• measure website performance and usage patterns;
• understand how visitors interact with our website;
• improve website content, navigation and technical performance;
• support the delivery of content and communications;
• manage consent preferences where required.

Not all cookies are used for the same purpose, and not all cookies require consent under applicable law.

Types of cookies we use

Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are essential for the operation of the website and for core technical functionality. Without them, the website may not function properly.

They may be used to:

• enable page navigation;
• maintain session integrity;
• support security features;
• manage load balancing;
• preserve consent choices;
• protect against fraudulent or malicious activity.

Because these cookies are necessary for the operation of the website, they are generally used without asking for your consent, where permitted by applicable law.

Functional cookies

These cookies support enhanced functionality and website usability. They may be used to remember preferences or choices you make, such as language settings or interface behaviour.

If you disable these cookies, some features may not operate as intended.

Analytics and performance cookies

These cookies help us understand how visitors use our website, including which pages are visited, how users move through the website, how long they remain on pages, and whether technical issues arise.

They may be used to:

• measure traffic and usage patterns;
• identify performance bottlenecks;
• evaluate content effectiveness;
• improve website structure and navigation;
• support internal reporting and analytics.

Where required by law, we will ask for your consent before using analytics or performance cookies that are not strictly necessary.

Communications, media or third-party content cookies

Some content or functionality on our website may be supported by third-party tools or integrations, such as embedded media, maps, document viewers, analytics services or communication tools.

Where these features are enabled, third parties may place cookies or similar technologies on your device. These cookies are subject not only to this Cookie Policy, but in some cases also to the privacy and cookie practices of the relevant third party.

Where required by law, such cookies will only be used with your consent.

First-party and third-party cookies

Cookies may be:

First-party cookies

These are cookies set directly by Urrum through the website domain you are visiting.

Third-party cookies

These are cookies set by a third party, for example where we use external analytics, media, content delivery, security or technology services.

Urrum does not necessarily control all third-party cookies, particularly where third-party services are embedded or integrated into the website. You should review the relevant third party’s own privacy and cookie information where appropriate.

Session cookies and persistent cookies

Cookies may also differ according to how long they remain on your device.

Session cookies

These cookies are temporary and expire when you close your browser.

Persistent cookies

These cookies remain on your device for a defined period or until you delete them manually. They allow a website to recognise your device when you return.

Urrum seeks to ensure that cookie duration is proportionate to the purpose for which the cookie is used.

Legal basis for using cookies

Where cookies are strictly necessary for the operation, security or integrity of the website, Urrum generally relies on its legitimate interests and, where applicable, the necessity of those cookies for website functionality.

Where cookies are not strictly necessary, and where applicable law requires consent, we will request your consent before placing or activating those cookies on your device.

You may withdraw or adjust your consent at any time through our cookie settings tool, if available, or through your browser settings, subject to the limitations described below.

How you can manage cookies

You can manage cookies in a number of ways.

Cookie preferences tool

Where available, our website provides a cookie banner or preference centre that allows you to:

• accept all cookies;
• reject non-essential cookies;
• customise cookie categories; and
• change your preferences at a later time.

Browser settings

Most browsers allow you to:

• view cookies stored on your device;
• block cookies;
• delete existing cookies;
• configure different rules for different websites;
• receive notifications before cookies are placed.

Please note that if you disable or block certain cookies, some parts of the website may not function properly, may become unavailable, or may operate less efficiently.

Device and platform controls

Some mobile devices and software platforms provide additional privacy controls relating to tracking, identifiers or stored data. These settings are managed through your device or application provider.

Consequences of disabling cookies

If you reject or disable certain cookies:

• some website features may not function as intended;
• your preferences may not be remembered;
• security or session-related functions may be affected;
• parts of the website may load less efficiently;
• embedded tools or content may not be available.

Strictly necessary cookies cannot generally be disabled through the website where they are essential to its operation, but you may still be able to control them through your browser settings, subject to the effect this may have on website functionality.

Personal information and cookies

Some cookies may involve the processing of personal information, including online identifiers, IP addresses, device information and usage data.

Where cookies involve the processing of personal information, Urrum will process that information in accordance with applicable data protection law and our Privacy Notice.

Personal information derived from cookies may be used, for example, to:

• operate and secure the website;
• understand usage and website performance;
• improve content and user experience;
• maintain records of consent preferences;
• support analytics and internal reporting.

International transfers

Where cookies are provided or supported by third-party services, information collected through those cookies may be processed in countries outside the country in which you are located.

Where such transfers involve personal information, Urrum will seek to ensure that appropriate safeguards are applied in accordance with applicable data protection law.

Further information is available on request by contacting contact@urrum.com.

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect legal, regulatory, operational or technical changes, or changes to the cookies and technologies used on our website.

When changes are made, the “Last updated on” date at the top of this Cookie Policy will be revised accordingly.

We encourage you to review this Cookie Policy periodically.
